The X-Rite 948 is a reflection spectrocolorimeter. The 948 measures spectralreflectance from 400nm to 700nm in 20nm intervals. It has a 0° illumination angle,a 45° viewing angle, and features a dual-beam, single light pulse compensationmethod to insure accuracy. The 948 calculates and displays colorimetric data. In addition, the 948 can output(to a printer or computer) colorimetric data. An optional software package, ColorStart®, can collect, sort, view, and analayze L*a*b* data using an IBM .
